I'm Esen — a full stack software developer in Perth, Australia, recently engaged.

Casa means home. Welcome to mine.

The tree on the front page grows from a single seed each time it loads. It's the mustard seed — the smallest of all seeds, which grows into a tree big enough that birds come and rest in its branches. I follow Jesus, and that parable is the shape I'd like my work to take: small now, and one day something that shelters people and bears something worth having.

I mostly build in Go, and I like keeping things close to the ground: this site is one binary with its database in the same process, on a single small server. Simple and fast are usually the same decision.
